World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) is playing a pivotal role in providing knowledge around concepts of IP and enabling developing nations and economies to make the most from their courses and curriculum.
WIPO courses combine traditional face-to-face and distance learning methodologies which explains how to stimulate innovation, creativity and development.
WIPO ACADEMY: The Academy is the center of excellence for intellectual property (IP) education, training and skills-building for WIPO member states, in particular developing countries, least-developed countries (LDCs) and countries in transition. The Academy which was established in 1998 has over a period of time build a knowledge community of IP practitioners globally.

DISTANCE LEARNING (DL): The distance learning option becomes more helpful, as it allows anyone to attend the online IP course sitting anywhere in the world. The distance learning courses were started by WIPO in 1999. More details can be accessed via:
The courses are divided basically into two sets:
a) General
b) Advanced
CHARGES AND FEES:
While some courses are available for free, but most of the advanced courses are fee based, which again varies for students and professionals from the countries they belong to.
